Head & Neck surgery and Forensic Dissection Research Center (HNS & FDRC)
Following the inauguration in 2012 of the new research and anatomical dissection center, established through the collaboration between the Scientific Association “Attingo,” the University of Insubria (Department of Biotechnology and Life Sciences – DBSV), the Legal Medicine Unit, and the ASST-Sette Laghi Hospital, the Otorhinolaryngology Clinic has established an advanced training program aimed at specialists and medical trainees in otorhinolaryngology, as well as in related surgical specialties such as maxillofacial surgery, neurosurgery, and plastic surgery.
Since its foundation, the center has promoted over 40 anatomical dissection courses.
Each workstation in the laboratory is equipped with state-of-the-art endoscopic and surgical instruments, accompanied by video recording systems that allow trainees to archive their surgical activities—an essential support for training.
Upper and Lower Airways Inflammatory Diseases Research Center (UPLOAD)
Founded in 2020, the Center aims to develop basic and applied research in the field of inflammatory airway diseases.
The objective is to promote the optimization of diagnostic and therapeutic pathways, strengthen collaboration between universities and businesses, train medical and paramedical personnel with high professional qualifications, and foster scientific and cultural advancement as well as advanced education in the field of sciences.
Research Center for Pituitary Adenomas and Sellar Pathology
Established in 2020, the Center focuses on advancing both fundamental and applied research in the area of pituitary adenomas and sellar pathology.
The Center is also committed to promoting scientific and cultural advancement concerning the various topics related to these disciplines, supporting advanced research activities and training in the field of biomedical sciences.
